Rodney Harmon and Chanda Rubin to Teach at 2010 Camp A.C.E!

Former ATP player Rodney Harmon and former WTA player Chanda Rubin will be on-court coaches during Camp A.C.E. this summer. The USTA Eastern Multicultural Participation Committee presents the 12th annual Camp A.C.E. (Achieving through Coaching & Education) July 25-31 at Ramapo College of New Jersey.

The camp was created to provide young players of ethnically diverse backgrounds an opportunity to improve their tennis skills in a camp environment with players of similar age and skills. The camp is limited to 85 participants. This is an overnight residential camp. Participants will be housed in the dorms on the college campus. SORRY! NO BEGINNERS!

About Camp A.C.E.

This year’s camp will feature:

·         Parent/Student/Coaches Orientation

·         Daily Tennis Instruction with Experienced Tennis Professionals

·         Fitness/Nutrition/College Prep/Admissions Counseling/Etiquette/Financial Literacy/Diversity/Government/Career Counseling

·         College Tour

·         Swimming

·         Community Activities

·         Fitness! Fun! New Friends!

Participant Eligibility:

·         Player must be 14 – 17 years of age (Must be age 14 by December 31, 2010)

·         Player must be a current USTA member (valid through 1/1/2011).

·         Scholarship requests must demonstrate financial need.

·         Players should be intermediate to advanced playing ability.

·         $250.00 registration fee must be paid at the time of registration.
