May 21, 2010 05:01 PM

The New Rochelle Tennis Club hosted its first annual “Care to Play” tournaments on May 1, raising more than $15,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House of New York City.

In the morning, local pros played with juniors from the Jerry Alleyne Memorial Foundation, a USTA National Junior Tennis and Learning center that serves children from the Bronx, Westchester and Rockland counties.  In the afternoon, adults competed in a round-robin tournament.

The events were organized by Michael Aronstein of New Rochelle Tennis Club and Roy and David Lipson of the Children’s Happy Faces Foundation.

Members of the New Rochelle Tennis Club community supported the event with a minimum $300 donation. A fun day was had by all.
