Jerry Alleyne Memorial Foundation Alumni Reunion

February 8, 2011 10:55 AM
The Jerry Alleyne Foundation, under the auspices of Loretta Van Raalte, treats each of “her kids” as friends and follows their progress with love, interest and guidance.  Tennis was the common thread of each of the kids present at with a special emphasis on their Jr. Team Tennis experience.  On Thursday, January 6, she hosted a wonderful dinner at Azzuri Restaurant for alumni now spread throughout the region at various colleges. What a wonderful group of young people to have dinner with Tom Hutcherson and Loretta Van Raalte.
Present for the dinner were the following alumni of the JAF: Matthew Washington, Bronx Community; Meg Collins, Villanova University; Marland Scott, Mercy College; Sandy Hugo, Iona College; Megan Scherer, Fairleigh Dickenson, Imani Morrison, Johnson Smith University and Warren Hamilton, SUNY Albany.
In talking to Loretta she said “these were the most wonderful group of young people who came together by playing Jr. Team Tennis and attending Camp A.C.E”.  Warren Hamilton was overheard to say once he attended Camp A.C.E. held at SUNY Albany, he knew that was the school for him.
Loretta is the Jr. Team Tennis Coordinator for Westchester and hopes other young tennis players will give JTT at try. For further information email her at
